Micropigmentation

Post-Procedure Instructions

Scalp care between sessions and beyond

Scalp micropigmentation heals differently from brow and lip procedures. The scalp is more resilient but still requires careful aftercare to ensure even pigment retention and a natural-looking healed result.

Days 1–4

  • Keep the scalp completely dry for the first 4 days — no washing, sweating, or rain exposure
  • Do not touch or rub the treated area with your hands
  • Sleep on a clean pillowcase and avoid hats or headwear that compress the scalp
  • Avoid strenuous exercise that causes heavy sweating for the first 4 days

Days 5–10

  • You may gently rinse the scalp with lukewarm water — no shampoo for the first 7 days
  • Pat dry with a clean towel — do not rub
  • The scalp may appear shiny or slightly raised as it heals — this is normal
  • Avoid direct sun exposure on the scalp throughout the healing period

Between Sessions

  • Allow 7–10 days between sessions for the scalp to fully heal before the next treatment
  • Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen to the scalp once healed — sun exposure is the primary cause of pigment fading
  • Avoid chemical exfoliants and scalp treatments that accelerate cell turnover
  • Moisturize the scalp daily with a fragrance-free, non-comedogenic lotion once fully healed
