Permanent Eyebrows

Aftercare Instructions

Healing stages, do's, and don'ts

Your permanent eyebrows will go through several healing stages over the first 4–6 weeks. Understanding what to expect — and how to care for your brows at each stage — ensures the best long-term result.

Healing Stages

Days 1–3

Brows appear bold and dark. Slight swelling and redness is normal. Blot lymph fluid gently and apply aftercare ointment.

Days 4–7

Brows begin to flake and peel. Color appears to fade dramatically. Do not pick — allow skin to shed naturally.

Days 8–14

Brows look very light or patchy. The pigment is still settling beneath the skin surface.

Weeks 3–6

Color gradually resurfaces and stabilizes. Final healed result is visible by week 6.

Do

  • Apply aftercare ointment in thin layers — less is more
  • Keep brows dry for the first 7 days
  • Sleep on a clean satin pillowcase to reduce friction
  • Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen to brows once fully healed
  • Schedule your touch-up at 4–6 weeks for refinement

Don't

  • Pick, scratch, or peel flaking skin
  • Apply makeup or tinting products to the brow area during healing
  • Use Retin-A, retinol, or glycolic acid near the brows
  • Swim, sauna, or steam for 2 weeks post-procedure
  • Expose brows to direct sun without SPF protection
